If you missed her at the biggest music festival in the nation, you can catch Singer Grace Weber on national television this week. A native of Wauwatosa, Grace Weber is one of the eight finalists on "Oprah's Karaoke Challenge."

"It was pretty intense when they told me. I was totally overwhelmed and actually felt like I was in a dream. I've never had an experience where I honestly questioned whether it was really happening or not. It took a couple days to settle in, but now I'm ready to be on the show and have a good time," says Weber.

The contest pits eight singers from around the country against one another in a live show this Thursday. Taking cue from "American Idol," celebrity judges will be on hand to lend advice, but viewers will have the ultimate vote.

"I would describe myself as a soul singer, singing soul music and indie soul music. Although I have sung a lot of different genres over the years, I hope to pursue a career in indie soul music," Weber says.

Weber is currently working toward a degree in Individualized Study with a focus on music performance and marketing at New York University.

Tune in Thursday and vote for Weber after "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which airs on WISN Channel 12 at 4 p.m.
